The anticipated salary range for this position is between $125,100 and $139,000, depending on experience, alongside a complete benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Supervisor of Maintenance Planning is accountable for overseeing, mentoring, and developing the assigned planning team. This role involves assigning, coordinating, and executing daily operational tasks to ensure a productive workforce that aligns with all Maintenance Planning objectives, adhering to the QA Manual, company policies, and relevant regulations. The supervisor will ensure that work packages are planned with the utmost quality, maintaining the plant's safety and reliability. Additionally, this position will provide analytical support and recommendations to the Maintenance Planning Manager to facilitate strategic enhancements in the work planning process. When not engaged in supervisory duties, the Supervisor will also participate in planning activities as necessary and serve as a backup to the Maintenance Planning Manager during their absence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee Maintenance Planners for both scheduled and urgent work, ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently and in compliance with plant protocols and regulations. Contribute to performance evaluations for assigned planners and provide coaching to foster individual and departmental growth.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Planning Manager to identify areas for improvement, conduct internal performance assessments of planners, and provide necessary guidance and support.
- Review work packages for quality assurance and readiness, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and regulations.
- Develop and revise work instructions to guide the Maintenance Department in repairs, preventive maintenance, and modifications.
- Act as a substitute for the Maintenance Planning Manager when required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the relevant craft.
- At least 3 years of experience in a planning capacity to meet E-0 duty requirements.
- Completion of a positive Leadership Assessment (FLS) is required.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Proficient computer skills are necessary.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and planning abilities.
- Proven leadership potential and accountability.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A four-year technical degree is preferred.
- Prior training in Corrective Action and Root Cause Analysis is advantageous.
- A two-year technical degree combined with 8 years of experience in the utility or related industry is also acceptable.
