Public Health Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Town of Burlington, MA. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in carrying out public health nursing functions for the Tri-Ton Coalition, an inter-municipal shared services program serving the Towns of Burlington, Lexington, and Wilmington.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement public health clinics and educational programs to promote health and wellness in the community.
  • Conduct trainings on topics such as Stop the Bleed, Narcan Training, and other health-related issues.
  • Assist at vaccination clinics and administer immunizations as needed.
  • Conduct communicable disease investigations using the MA Virtual Epidemiological Network (MAVEN).
  • Collaborate with municipalities on programs related to the Opioid Recovery and Remediation Fund (ORRF).
  • Provide case management services as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or ability to obtain, current licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in public health nursing, program planning, community nursing, and health education.

This is a part-time, grant-funded position with a starting salary of $45.00 per hour and a maximum of 19 hours per week. The position will remain open until filled.
