About the Role

The Medical Professional will provide occupational, primary, and emergency medical services to all project personnel. This will include providing occupational health and injury management advice, support, and direction to enable successful resolution of work injury and health-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer a triage system to prioritize medical care
  • Facilitate and coordinate required lab work and diagnostic testing or medical imaging requirements
  • Ensure that all medical equipment is in working order and properly maintained
  • Establish and manage a monthly equipment checklist register
  • Establish and manage the asset register
  • Establish and manage the equipment maintenance and calibration schedule
  • Make weekly inventory of drugs, equipment, and consumables
  • Coordinate stocking and control of medications and medical supplies
  • Ensure medications and supplies are properly stored and within use-by dates
  • Inspect and accept shipments of medications and supplies
  • Maintain a controlled drug register in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Provide immunizations to employees
  • Use the Electronic Medical Records System as required and ensure accuracy and maintenance of medical records
  • Monitor the status of Project personnel hospitalized in regional facilities
  • Participate in scheduled meetings as required
  • Be proficient in physical examinations
  • Carry out safe standards of nursing care according to legislation, Standard Operating Project policies, and procedures
  • Be current and certified in Advanced Life Support protocols
  • Plan and control clinic and equipment maintenance program
  • Perform other duties as required
About You
  • Appropriately licensed, qualified, and registered as a RN to practice within the state of Texas
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Occupational Medicine experience
  • 3 years of emergency/urgent care experience (minimum)
  • Certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor (Mental Health First Aid America certification)
