CAD Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Manager to join our team at KLM Careers. As a CAD Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of CAD Designers who work on various projects using AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the engineering team in designing and documenting electrical schematics, PI&Ds, and panel layouts.
  • Develop and maintain procedures related to CAD and standards enforcement.
  • Analyze and produce productivity enhancements and customizations, including automated quality checks.
  • Provide technical expertise for transferring CAD data to our production CNC machine.
  • Train internal users on corporate CAD standards, new software, and upgrades, as well as best practices.
  • Provide production and technical CAD support for all CAD software.
  • Hold regular CAD meetings to disseminate new information to the CAD Group.
  • Schedule CAD Designer resources to appropriate jobs.

Qualifications:

  • Two-year degree in CAD Technology.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Experience with UL508A Control Panel design is essential.
  • Servant-leadership attitude is preferred.

Working Environment:

Standard office environment with frequent use of personal computers, facsimile, and copy machines, along with other office equipment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Two-year degree in CAD Technology.
  • 10 years of experience using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
  • UL508A Control Panel design experience.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
