Basic Function:
Accountable for ensuring safe and efficient shuttle operations through effective scheduling, communication with staff, and management of shifts.

Salary Range:
$24.50 per hour

Responsibilities:
1. Schedule vehicles and operators for fixed route services; manage open shifts on short notice as needed.

2. Utilize basic office equipment and possess proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—Word and Excel.

3. Maintain punctuality and uniform standards by being present for every scheduled shift.


4. Hold a valid CDL Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement and DOT Medical Card at all times while on duty.
5. Maintain an acceptable driving record.

6. Provide courteous assistance to customers and employees by addressing inquiries and directing them to the Facility Manager when necessary.


7. Report any known accidents, observed or suspected policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
8. Facilitate monthly driver meetings, fulfill company training requirements, and implement changes to daily operating procedures as necessary.

9. Possess comprehensive knowledge of field operations, including major streets, landmarks, and freeways within the service area.
10. Assist Facility Managers with additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Qualification Requirements:
To successfully perform this role, an individual must be capable of executing each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.

License Requirement:

In accordance with DOT Regulations, a valid CDL Class A, B, or C Driver's License is required based on the hiring needs of the location, with a Passenger Endorsement if responsible for operating shuttle buses with a capacity of 15 passengers or more.


DOT Medical Card:
A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is mandatory.

Experience/Knowledge:

Previous experience or knowledge in shuttle or dispatched transportation operations, scheduling, employee management, and FMCSRs is preferred but not mandatory.


Availability to Work:
Shift requirements may vary based on the hiring needs of the location. Availability for 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends may be necessary.

Language Skills:
Proficiency in reading, comprehending, writing, speaking, and communicating all job-related information in English. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings to customers and other employees of the company.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and understand and adhere to Hours of Service regulations, including frequent calculations involving quarter hours.
