About the Role

The California Association of Food Banks is seeking a highly skilled Community Capacity Building Specialist to join our Programs Department. In this role, you will play a critical part in building the capacity of our network of community-based organizations throughout California.

As a Community Capacity Building Specialist, you will work closely with our Director of Programs and Senior Program Manager to develop and implement capacity-building programming for our network. This will involve planning and executing large group trainings, small group trainings, and workshops, as well as developing event materials and facilitating trainings and meetings.

We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal skills, excellent project management abilities, and a desire to be in a role that requires continuous learning. You should have experience working in a nonprofit setting, particularly in network building and training facilitation.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of developing deep trusting relationships with diverse individuals and adapting tasks and priorities to fluid network and policy changes.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,520 - $90,514 annually, depending on experience, with target compensation at the midpoint. Our benefits package includes generous employer-paid medical, dental and vision plans, retirement plan with employer contribution, life insurance, PTO, and more.
