About the Role:
This is an entry-level position that requires close supervision as a learner. You will work under the guidance of experienced staff members to learn the skills necessary to perform the duties of the job. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining the Authority's grounds, resident units, and office buildings; pruning and trimming trees and shrubs; mowing lawns, cutting grass, and trimming hedges; planting trees and shrubs; re-seeding lawns; operating power equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge clippers, and saws; making minor adjustments and repairs on normally used equipment; boarding and un-boarding windows; doing yard work and fence repair work; repairing sprinklers; picking up paper and debris; removing large cast-off items dumped in garbage areas; cleaning and keeping garbage chutes clear; using non-restricted chemicals in vacant units and utility/community areas; cleaning and scours sinks, showers, toilets, and stoves; cleaning and scrubbing walls and floors in halls and in other areas; cleaning windows in vacant units and office areas; driving trucks in picking up furniture or debris; loading and unloading trucks; and maintaining simple job records.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have one year of demonstrated successful work experience and possess a valid California's driver's license with an insurable driving record. Bilingual skills in ASL, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and/or Spanish are a plus. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additionally, you should be able to perform physical labor that requires strength and agility, including standing and walking for up to six hours, pushing or pulling for up to four hours, lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds, and other abilities as specified in the State of California Division of Industrial Accidents form RB-91 for this classification.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,421 - $63,804 based on a 40-hour workweek.
