Position Overview:
The Warehouse Worker plays a crucial role in the operational efficiency of our distribution center. This position involves various tasks that ensure the smooth flow of products and materials within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in multiple areas throughout the warehouse, including but not limited to picking, packing, stocking, processing returns, and managing defects.
Essential Functions:
- Utilizes an RF scanner to perform a variety of tasks such as picking, stocking, creating stock batches, and processing returns and defects.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace, free from debris.
- Completes assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Stays informed about the locations of products within the warehouse.
- Communicates any issues or opportunities for improvement as they arise.
Knowledge, Skills, Duties, and Abilities:
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to perform tasks accurately.
- Organized and capable of working independently while staying on task.
- Proficient in using scanners in conjunction with the inventory management system.
- Regularly checks and restocks merchandise, inspects for damage, and verifies inventory counts.
- Meets and maintains production and accuracy goals.
- Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Works well within a diverse team and independently.
- Operates pallet jacks as necessary, completing required inspections and maintenance documentation.
- Completes all documentation related to assigned tasks.
- Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- May perform additional duties or work in other departments as assigned.
Conditions of Employment:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- Required to wear appropriate footwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed.
- Must acknowledge and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop.
- May need to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and various weather conditions.
- Must have good mobility and the ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
