Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Assembler I to join our team at REV Group Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Work with other members of the assembly process to complete coaches within the allotted time frame.
- Troubleshoot all systems and repair defects.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms and reporting repetitive quality issues.
- Identify and report errors when found on Prints and Bills of Materials.
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Assist in training assemblers of all skill levels.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and air tools for sustained periods of time.
- Ability to interpret and understand drawings, Bills of materials, and other verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to reason and solve problems as they arise.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate in English.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Ability to differentiate between color shades.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing.
- Ability to prioritize and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Good hand-to-eye coordination.
- Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
- Familiarity with the safe operation of various tools, including but not limited to drills, screw guns.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.
- Ability to stand at a workstation for eight hours a day (minus specified breaks).
- Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.
- Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED.
