As a skilled Automation Assembly Technician at DeSHAZO, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical assembly of new, custom-made automation equipment. This includes assembling complex mechanisms, routing pneumatic systems, wiring electrical components, and setting up control cabinets. You will also read schematics and BOMs to ensure accurate assembly and wiring of automation projects. Additionally, you will possess the ability to recognize design deficiencies or malfunctions and make immediate determinations or corrections to enhance quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble and install automation equipment, including mechanical and electrical components
• Read and interpret schematics and BOMs to ensure accurate assembly and wiring
• Identify and correct design deficiencies or malfunctions
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Travel and work in unfamiliar environments (25%)
• Inspect equipment for quality and safety issues
• Work hours and shifts as necessary for installations
Requirements:
• Strong attention to detail
• Clean and organized work environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift experience
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English
• Ability to read and write proficiently
• Ownership of basic electrical and mechanical tools
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand/walk for 10-hour shifts
• Ability to work in any position (reach, bend, kneel, etc.)
• Ability to work in any environment (hot, cold, dusty, dirty, etc.)
• Ability to normally see, hear, and talk
