Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Bashas' As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day operations in our Meat and Seafood departments, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order, cut, grind, slice, weigh, wrap, and label meat products according to quality, quantity, product freshness, and food safety and sanitation standards.
- Control product shrinks and inventory expenses through proper handling, cutting, trimming, and wrapping techniques.
- Provide customers with excellent and helpful product information, promoting sales and driving customer satisfaction.
- Operate meat department tools and equipment, including knives, saws, wrapping machines, tenderizers, patty makers, grinders, while meeting meat department safety standards.
- Understand and apply product pricing, signage, and placement guidelines to maximize sales and minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly meat counter, work areas, meat service cases, and self-service cases.
- Assist with the preparation of ready-to-go meat products and slice, weigh, and merchandise prepared deli meats and cheeses.
- Display goods according to deli department and/or merchandising guidelines.
- Take customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.
- Safety-sensitive position.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
