Job Title: Quality Inspector

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process, ensuring the quality and reliability of Nacelles/ Hub and DT.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify defects and work with the production team to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with technical support departments to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Coach and support production members on approved assembly processes.
  • Handle non-conformity reports and perform containment of non-conforming parts or products.
  • Facilitate non-standard work events and ensure compliance with processes.
  • Inspect and verify material according to specifications.
  • Coordinate rework activities with quality engineers.
  • Provide independent quality approval for processes.
  • Facilitate Form, Fit, and Function testing of identified products.
  • Support the production line on potential quality issues.
  • Verify product requirements and inspect product to determine compliance with order specifications.
  • Compile and communicate quality reports and perform Material Review Board (MRB) meetings.
  • Perform Dispatch inspections in the storage yard.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to three years related production assembly experience and/or quality training preferred.
  • Auditing, quality assurance/control/improvement, statistical tools, 6 Sigma, statistical analysis, and SPC skills preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Set a good example of personal integrity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the job.
  • Use measuring tools and gauges.

Salary range: $22+ per hour, commensurate with experience, with a $3 differential once moved to nights.
