Job Summary:

S:US is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our residential program in the Bronx. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, and maintaining a secure and healthy living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of residential staff, including residential aides and custodial personnel
  • Conduct regular building inspections to identify and address fire safety hazards and violations
  • Coordinate fire drills and maintain fire drill logs
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and procedures
  • Complete intakes with new clients and maintain visitor log books
  • Prepare and submit incident reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in security or building maintenance required
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention and utilize good interpersonal skills
  • Experience in office management and/or staff supervision required
  • Experience working in a large residential/institutional setting with a special needs population required
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NYS Driver's License preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred
