Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Systems Specialist to join our team at the Utah Transit Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our server, voice, and related video communication systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement telecommunication systems, including network and server components
  • Provide technical support for voice networks, circuits, and Enterprise Unified Communications
  • Administer virtual servers, such as VMware ESX
  • Manage, integrate, and support 3rd party platforms
  • Develop and align objectives to organizational technology practices
  • Develop recommendations and objectives related to change policies or procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to computer hardware, software, or information systems
  • 8 years of directly related work experience with Enterprise Unified Communications
  • Experience with telecommunication carriers, associated circuits, and network and server components
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Preferred advanced project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCIE Collaboration certification or similar
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux+, Security+, and VMware Certified Professional certifications
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer certification
