OHC is seeking a skilled Admixture / Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate preparation of medication orders through compounding and admixing medications under the guidance of a physician.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under the supervision of a physician.
- Accurately admix drugs as ordered by the physician in a timely manner, adhering to departmental guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and interoffice protocols during the preparation of all medications.
- Properly dispose of all materials used in the mixing of chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy IVs.
- Participate in daily cleaning of hoods and conduct monthly checks on drug expiration dates as part of quality assurance activities.
- Maintain accurate temperature logs and records for all protocol and patient assistance drugs.
- Support inventory control of medications and assist with billing preparations and basic data entry.
- Contribute to the cleanliness and maintenance of the admixture area and pharmacy department to enhance overall sanitation.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three to five years of experience in a pharmacy setting and hold a Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or meet State Pharmacy Board requirements.
