Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team at Allied Supply Company, Inc.

As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering orders to customers in a timely and efficient manner, while also maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pull, fill, pack, and set up customer orders for delivery or pickup.
  • Maintain accurate records of order status and follow special instructions for individual orders.
  • Prepare trucks for operation by loading and securing items, and verifying shipping papers.
  • Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure timely and complete delivery.
  • Communicate with the company during deliveries to receive updated instructions.
  • Document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders, and report any discrepancies.
  • Collect customer feedback and resolve complaints in accordance with company policy.
  • Inform customers of new products and services that can increase customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, and maintain required documents for safety and quality processes.
  • Assist in all Warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving, returns, inventory, and customer service.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • Clear driving record.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate.
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a professional image.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and demands to ensure superior customer service.
  • Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to read a map and accurately plan a route.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to make independent judgments with moderate impacts on the organization.
  • Ability to work overtime if needed.
