We provide a comprehensive range of services, including Bariatric Surgical Service, Ambulatory Care Center, Women's Health Center, Wound Care Center, and Chemical Dependence Unit. Our full-service pharmacy supports both patients and staff with essential prescription services. We are currently in search of a Mammography Technologist.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver radiological services at the level of a Radiology Technologist to maintain the health of employees and clients.
  • Support and guide Radiographers in executing x-ray procedures.
  • Conduct specialized procedures on patients requiring advanced expertise.
  • Prepare the radiological area, equipment, contrast materials, and supplies for patient use.
  • Assist Radiologists, Physicians, and allied health professionals in diagnostic and treatment procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic testing on equipment and ensure general maintenance.
  • Prepare patients for procedures effectively.
  • Develop radiographic films following established photographic techniques.
  • Monitor the condition of patients and equipment during procedures, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professional.
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, and ultrasound.
  • Document patient care services accurately in patient and departmental records.
  • Position patients for radiological procedures, adjusting immobilization devices and equipment controls as necessary.
  • Facilitate patient cooperation by alleviating anxieties and providing clear explanations of treatments.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by adhering to radiation protection protocols.
  • Ensure patient and employee safety by following infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintain the quality of radiographic output by adhering to established standards and procedures.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with relevant procedures and regulations.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology Technologist program resulting in a Diploma, Certificate, or Associate's degree.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
  • Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiological Technologist in New York.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with MS Office products.
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to perform duties in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to sudden changes in work requirements, including potential shift changes.
