About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a Mammography Specialist. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures, ensuring patient safety protocols are in place, and serving as the first point of contact for patients undergoing mammograms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize hospital and radiology information systems to access patient information, schedule exams, and verify orders in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, explaining the process and equipment to patients clearly.
  • Independently assess patient information and status, following established procedures to ensure accurate and efficient care.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot radiographic equipment, performing visual and manual quality control checks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to clarify exam requirements and consult policy and procedure manuals as needed.
Requirements
  • Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Advance Certification in Mammography.
