**Job Description:**

A challenging opportunity exists for an Electromechanical Product Development Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and production of sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics products in a world-class Integrated Product Development environment.

As an electro-mechanical engineer, you will serve as the Responsible Product Engineer for multiple THAAD battery products, working with a diverse team to field a highly mobile defense system providing critical capability to shoot a missile with a missile. This enables the U.S. military to effectively and reliably defend the U.S. and allied assets around the world.

The key activities you will accomplish in this role include:

  • Production and development efforts supporting multiple sites including electronics packaging, PWB/CCA design, integration, product manufacturing, and final assembly.
  • Overseeing the development and production of missile battery products supporting Missile Power & Comms as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE).
  • Drawing preparation, requirements/concept development, detail design, manufacturing process development and improvement, development testing, hardware qualification, discrepancy resolution, producibility, affordability, and obsolescence-driven re-designs.
  • Data analysis and failure investigation with root cause corrective action implementation.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with high-reliability electronics or batteries through the product lifecycle.
  • Mechanical design experience with a strong understanding of electronics, structures, mechanics, and materials.
  • 9+ years of professional experience; 7+ years with a Master's degree.
  • An active Interim Secret or higher clearance is required to be considered, thus US Citizenship is required.

Our estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
