Job Summary

Tarkett is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, testing, installing, and repairing electrical parts, equipment, and systems.

You will read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Additionally, you will perform prescribed Preventative Maintenance, maintain accurate and complete records, and document all work performed appropriately.

Key requirements for this role include a working knowledge of National Electrical Codes, OSHA, and standard industry safety rules/regulations. You will also be required to assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low supply levels to your Supervisor.

As a team-oriented and detail-oriented individual, you will be responsible for utilizing a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to improve processes. You will also adhere to good housekeeping practices and be able to pass standardized electrical tests.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, install, and repair electrical parts, equipment, and systems
  • Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Perform prescribed Preventative Maintenance
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, document all work performed appropriately
  • Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low supply levels to Supervisor
  • Utilize continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Adhere to good housekeeping practices

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes, OSHA, and standard industry safety rules/regulations
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints, schematics, and work instructions
  • Understanding failure mechanisms, ability to isolate determine root cause and repair
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented and detail-oriented
  • Minimum two years' of relevant experience and/or training that includes installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems equipment, HVAC maintenance, or any equivalent skills and abilities for this position
  • Ability to pass standardized electrical test
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
