Job Overview:
As a Flexographic Press Operator, you will be responsible for managing the operation of a flexographic printing press, ensuring the production of high-quality printed materials in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up plates, dies, inks, and coatings according to specifications outlined in the work ticket.
  • Conduct quality checks to verify that printed products meet all functional standards.
  • Load substrates onto the press and accurately record production data in the shop floor data collection system.
  • Perform tasks such as mounting or stripping plates, mixing inks, and cleaning press components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training sessions as required.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in press operation or related production roles.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage various label production tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of press operation and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Mechanical aptitude for understanding press operation and maintenance.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with assistance. The role involves constant physical activity including lifting, standing, and walking.

Work Environment:
Exposure to dust and noise typical of a production setting, with varying temperatures influenced by external conditions. Regular contact with ink is expected.
