Parkland College is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant Adjunct Faculty Pool member. As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for providing classroom instruction and advising students in accordance with the college's established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in nursing assistant courses, ensuring students meet the required standards and competencies.
- Develop and maintain accurate scholastic records of students, submitting required reports on student progress according to published deadlines.
- Provide guidance and support to students, addressing their academic and personal concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to the college's policies and procedures.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience for students.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field, with a minimum of two years of experience as a registered nurse.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a valid Illinois CNA license.
- Experience in caring for patients with Alzheimer's/dementia or completion of a dementia education course.
- Ability to learn and utilize the Parkland information system and new programs as technology changes.
- Pass a criminal background check and fulfill clinical requirements.
