Position Summary

The Coffee Product Specialist will act as an enthusiastic ambassador for our client, Nespresso, and their premium range of espresso and coffee machines. This role is part of a nationwide sales and promotional initiative operating within select high-end houseware retailers. You will serve as an in-store authority by advising customers and conducting live demonstrations to illustrate why Nespresso brewing products stand out in the market. Nespresso is guided by a fundamental belief that quality and environmental responsibility should go hand in hand. Through their Positive Cup Campaign, Nespresso is dedicated to integrating sustainable practices into their operations, firmly believing that the coffee industry can be a powerful catalyst for positive change by minimizing waste, promoting regenerative agriculture, and fostering resilient communities and livelihoods.

As a Nespresso Expert, you will play a crucial role in highlighting this sustainable business model and demonstrating how the brand can cater to diverse taste preferences, enhancing customers' morning routines with barista-quality experiences at home.

The ideal candidate will possess an enthusiastic demeanor, a love for coffee, and a drive to convert casual shoppers into brand advocates by showcasing Nespresso's craftsmanship in merging technology, quality, and design to create the perfect cup of coffee.

Work Schedule & Location

  • 8-12 hours per weekend
  • 12pm-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional shifts on Fridays
  • Coverage includes multiple retail locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the Nespresso brand consistently
  • Deliver a complete Nespresso experience that includes coffee tastings, engaging demonstrations, and tailored product recommendations based on customer preferences
  • Boost product sales and machine registrations through exceptional demonstrations, product knowledge, and coffee expertise
  • Conclude demonstrations with effective sales techniques while communicating Nespresso's sustainability and recycling initiatives
  • Educate store associates to confidently relay Nespresso information
  • Utilize the Nespresso Trade mobile application for machine registrations and coffee orders
  • Maintain the tasting table and demonstration area in compliance with hygiene standards and visual appeal
  • Ensure all demo machines are clean and operational
  • Foster positive professional relationships with store management and staff
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions and team calls
  • Complete feedback surveys and provide images after each shift

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, sales, or training
  • Passion for coffee-related beverages
  • Previous experience in food demonstrations is advantageous
  • Engaging personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable presenting to both individuals and groups

Physical Requirements

  • Must adhere to professional appearance standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. without assistance
  • Access to a personal smartphone with a data plan for work-related tasks
  • Access to a Wi-Fi-enabled personal tablet or laptop for work-related tasks
  • Reliable transportation is necessary
