Job Title: Electronics Assembler

At JL Marine Systems Inc, we are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our Engineering team. As an Electronics Assembler, you will play a critical role in building, testing, and repairing developmental electronic circuit boards.

Job Summary

The Electronics Assembler will work closely with our Engineering teams to build prototype boards, diagnose issues, and implement solutions. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuit boards using principles of electronics, electrical circuitry, and mathematics.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with electronic circuit board assemblies to a component level.
  • Assemble experimental circuitry or complete prototype models according to engineering instructions and technical manuals.
  • Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment to ensure high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Service departments to improve circuit design and warranty claims.
  • Work as a team member to achieve Engineering department process yield goals.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in component-level troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in the use of various measurement devices and test equipment.
  • Clear understanding of basic electronic concepts.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of mechanical hand tools and soldering equipment.
  • Proficient in basic computer programs, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Working Conditions

The work environment is a typical electronics lab/productive environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in some instances. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work with mostly DC and minimal AC.
