Job Title: Electronics Assembler

At JL Marine Systems Inc, we are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our Engineering team. As an Electronics Assembler, you will play a critical role in building, testing, and repairing developmental electronic circuit boards.

Job Summary

The Electronics Assembler will work closely with our Engineering teams to build, test, and repair electronic circuit boards, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental electronic circuit boards.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic circuit board assemblies to a component level.
  • Assemble experimental circuitry or complete prototype models according to engineering instructions and technical manuals.
  • Exhibit proficiency in the use of electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Understand and utilize assembly documentation, including schematics, BOMs, EC documents, visuals, debug, testing tools, and procedures.
  • Assist Engineering and Customer Service departments in evaluating circuit design and warranty claims due to circuit board failures.
  • Work as a team member to achieve Engineering department process yield goals.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in component-level troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in the use of various measurement devices and test equipment.
  • Clear understanding of basic electronic concepts.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of mechanical hand tools and soldering equipment.
  • Proficient in basic computer programs, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Working Conditions

The work environment is representative of an electronics lab/productive environment. Tool use is required, and the noise level is moderate to loud. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in this work environment.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with one hour lunch. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
