Job SummaryAs a skilled Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our printing equipment. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and take on the responsibilities of performing routine inspections, servicing, and maintenance of printing presses, Videojet printers, and Inkjet printers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, servicing, and maintenance to prevent equipment failures and prolong lifespan.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs to restore equipment to operational status with minimal disruption to production.
  • Electrical Diagnostics: Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on various components and systems, including motors, wiring, and control panels.
  • PLC Programming: Utilize PLC systems for diagnosing faults, making adjustments, and optimizing machine performance.
  • VFD Management: Maintain and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), ensuring proper operation and performance of motors and other equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and equipment status. Complete maintenance logs and reports as required.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production teams and other maintenance staff to coordinate repairs, share knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or repair roles, preferably within the printing industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems, including programming and fault diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and their maintenance.
  • Familiarity with various types of printing equipment, including presses, Videojet printers, and Inkjet printers.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical or mechanical maintenance (e.g., Journeyman Mechanic, Electrical Technician) are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
  • Capable of standing, kneeling, and bending for extended periods.
