Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care Float Pool, you will employ the nursing process to independently provide care to patients, aiming for optimal outcomes while recognizing when to seek guidance based on self-assessment of your strengths and limitations. You will foster a positive image of nursing and encourage teamwork among healthcare professionals.
Floating Requirements:
Market Float Pool RNs will be assigned to various facilities within the Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare System, ensuring they are scheduled in units where they possess the necessary competencies.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- A minimum of three years of RN experience, including at least two years in specialty areas for those floating to specialized units.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Current nursing license in Texas or a Compact Nursing License.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
Required Education:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate, or bachelor’s degree).
