Your Role
As an Escrow Officer, you will play a vital role in our Santa Rosa, CA branch, contributing to the transformation of the residential real estate experience, one closing at a time. This position requires a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, focusing on customer service and successful deal closures. Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing real estate escrow transactions by identifying requirements.
- Serving as a neutral intermediary between involved parties, adhering to company policies, and managing risks.
- Ensuring accurate accounting and disbursement of all funds according to contractual terms and company guidelines.
- Preparing and distributing regular reports on escrow account statuses to relevant parties.
- Reviewing property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents.
- Drafting legal documents necessary for the completion of sales.
- Finalizing closings by recording and filing documents, as well as preparing and distributing final closing statements and titles.
What You Bring
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- 2-4 years of experience in escrow-related functions.
- Experience in handling escrow transactions, preferably as an escrow assistant.
- A willingness to embrace new technologies and proprietary systems, adapting easily to new workflows.
- A passion for customer service, coupled with a professional and positive demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable engaging with both internal teams and external clients.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- A collaborative spirit, contributing to a team environment that exceeds customer expectations.
- A comfort in mentoring and supporting new talent in the business.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
- A valid license/certification as required by applicable state regulations.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
