AWS Contract Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our Professional Services and Legal teams by operationalizing the contract creation process for Statements of Work (SOWs) and related contracting structures.
You will be responsible for drafting and reviewing SOWs to ensure alignment with business and legal requirements, gathering approvals, tracking status, and communicating with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will proactively identify and implement operational improvements and enhancements that meet business requirements.
This is a unique role that combines elements of business operations analysis and contract analysis. You will work closely with our Legal team to create SOWs that meet legal requirements and support our Professional Services team in providing an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review SOWs to ensure alignment with business and legal requirements
- Gather approvals, track status, and communicate with key stakeholders
- Identify and implement operational improvements and enhancements
- Support cross-functional teams, including Sales, Legal, Operations, and Management
- Recruit, onboard, train, and influence other Contract Specialists
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures

Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant contracting experience in drafting and reviewing contract terms in technology licensing and/or other standard commercial contracts
- Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLookups, and Charts
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting a fast-paced organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across all functions and levels of the organization
