Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with established policies and protocols.
- Develop and oversee patient care plans.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions effectively.
- Act as the primary coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care.
- Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
- Assess and manage patient discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Qualifications:
Licensure / Certification:
- BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Registered Nurse credential from the Florida Board of Nursing required prior to hire.
- Active Registered Nurse license in Florida required.
- Multi-state license recognition (Compact State) must be obtained before hire.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of two years in acute care nursing.
- Experience in PACU or equivalent critical care preferred.
- Completion of ASPAN and PALS certifications required by the end of the orientation period.
