The Behavioral Support Technician plays a crucial role in executing skill-acquisition and behavior-modification strategies as directed by the supervising professional. This position also involves data collection and conducting specific assessments, such as preference assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Train families and caregivers on behavior support strategies.
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Maintain communication with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress.
- Work alongside BCBA to ensure necessary materials for plan implementation are available.
- Collect and document data to evaluate the effectiveness of behavior support strategies.
- Ensure proper training of families on data collection methods.
- Implement behavior support strategies as outlined by the BCBA or BCaBA.
- Provide positive behavioral interventions and respond to emergencies as trained.
- Complete required documentation in accordance with Benchmark Human Services and regulatory standards.
- Provide regular updates on behavior support goals to BCBA or BCaBA.
- Monitor the overall well-being of individuals served by adhering to established behavior and health protocols.
- Assist with personal care as needed, ensuring health, safety, and dignity for each individual.
- Adhere to all safety standards to protect staff, families, and individuals served.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory.
- Completion of a 40-hour training program conducted by a BACB certificant based on the RBT Task List.
- Pass the RBT Competency Assessment administered by a BACB certificant.
- Complete ongoing education to maintain RBT certification.
- Responsible for any fees associated with RBT certification maintenance.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- CPR Certification is required.
