Electronics Engineer Specialist

The Electronics Engineer Specialist will be responsible for the validation of test procedures for OBD/non-OBD fault codes in addition to learning how to install and operate mobile emissions measurement equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of diesel/natural gas engine hardware, systems, diagnostics, controls, and calibration.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) on production vehicle, engineering vehicle, and simulation station for all Comprehensive Component Monitors (CCM) and other Emissions Threshold Monitors (ETM).
- Provide technical support in resolving PVE DTC test issues.
- Support failed part creation and installation for inducing malfunctions.
- Update PVE test procedures as needed.
- Good understanding of diesel/natural gas engine hardware, systems, diagnostics, controls, and calibration is a plus.
- Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and proactive.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.
- Regionally applicable certification or two-year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
