Job Title: Firefighter Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter Driver to join our team at the City of Hobbs, NM. As a Firefighter Driver, you will be responsible for operating fire apparatus, responding to emergency calls, and providing firefighting and rescue services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate fire apparatus, including engines, trucks, and rescue vehicles
- Respond to emergency calls, including fires, rescues, and medical emergencies
- Provide firefighting and rescue services, including extinguishing fires, rescuing people, and providing medical aid
- Maintain fire equipment and apparatus, including cleaning, inspecting, and testing
- Participate in fire drills and training exercises

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree in Fire Science or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience as a full-time paid Firefighter or equivalent
- Valid New Mexico Class E driver's license or equivalent
- Current NM AEMT or National Registry AEMT certification
- IFSAC certified Emergency Vehicle Driving (EVD) course and Pump Operations and Hydraulics course
- Hazardous Materials Technician program certification
