The City of Hobbs, NM is a growing community seeking dedicated individuals to join its Fire Department as a Firefighter-EMT Specialist.

Salary: $16.54 per hour, estimated annual salary range: $34,300 - $71,500.

Job Description:

This role is responsible for protecting life and property by performing firefighting, rescue, emergency medical care, hazardous materials mitigation, fire prevention, and public education duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be physically fit, and able to work effectively in high-stress situations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 120 pounds
  • Pass a background check and physical fitness test
  • Successfully complete a Fire Academy program and obtain state certifications
