At Touchstone Engineering Corporation, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Engineer to support our Project Manager in the successful execution of low voltage projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project documentation, including permits and clearances from outside agencies.
- Prepare and manage project documentation for RFI submittals, purchase orders, and other procedures.
- Review invoices from accounts payable and coordinate with the Project Manager for approval or rejection.
- Participate in pre-planning and pre-fabrication activities.
- Track and monitor schedule milestones and identify potential schedule impacts.
- Attend and contribute to weekly construction meetings at project sites as required.
- Assist in scheduling, delivering, and distributing equipment and supplies.
- Organize and maintain project-related files, drawings, materials, and correspondence.
- Ensure all project records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations.
- Assist in compiling change orders by documenting or performing takeoffs of drawings as needed.
- Support the preconstruction department with project acquisition and estimating when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience in project tracking and management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations and solve problems effectively.
