Autism Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Autism Support Professional to join our team at Association for Autism and Neurodiversity Inc. as a Home and Community-Based Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide in-person support to autistic adults in their homes and communities, working closely with our Clinical Case Managers to implement individualized support plans.
Key Responsibilities- Drive to and perform scheduled in-person visits with assigned clients, carrying out activities aligned with their support plans.
- Work closely with Clinical Case Managers to implement each client's strengths-based support plan, which outlines specific independent living support activities.
- Build professional, trusting relationships with clients while setting and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Carefully observe clients' personal health and living environments, communicating issues back to Clinical Case Managers.
- Participate in weekly virtual meetings with colleagues for supervision and case collaboration.
- Track time, mileage, and case notes in our secure case management system.
- Manage schedules on our Google Calendar and communicate effectively via email, telephone, text, and video calls.
- Experience providing in-person support to autistic adults or equivalent/transferable experience from other human services contexts.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to and with clients in the community.
- Ability to independently organize, initiate, and complete professional responsibilities.
- Comfort engaging in various interests and topics with clients.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to exercise patience, persistence, flexibility, and problem-solving.
- Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team, including the ability to ask for help when needed.
- Ability to learn and use new technologies/apps in service of our clients.
- Willingness for AANE to complete state and federal background checks.
