Job Summary

As a Project Manager - Residential Remodeling at New England Design and Construction, you will oversee 3-4 high-end residential remodeling projects, managing subcontractors and executing high-quality construction projects on time and on budget while ensuring delighted customers.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, from start to finish, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and the internal team to ensure clear expectations and smooth project execution.
Provide guidance, schedule, and manage the subcontractors, to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Utilize construction and carpentry experience to provide technical expertise and problem-solving skills throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project schedules, to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards, taking appropriate corrective actions as necessary.
Proactively identify and address potential project risks, challenges, and conflicts, working collaboratively to find effective solutions.

Requirements

3-5 years of residential construction with demonstrated competence in carpentry skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.
Familiarity with materials, methods, and building codes utilized in residential construction.
Ability to take accountability for project outcomes.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage clients' expectations.
Proven/excellent leadership, organization and team management abilities.
Ability to manage subcontractors and vendors.
Ability to manage a budget and time schedule commitments.
Good command of the English language (speak, read, and write), and excellent communication skills.
A proactive approach to identifying and addressing project risks and conflicts.
Professional attitude with a desire to deliver a high-quality result.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project Management applications.
