Job Summary

The Patient Account Specialist is a key role at Della Infotech, responsible for maintaining accurate accounts receivable (A/R) status of all patient billing accounts. This position requires collaboration with other teams, patient account research, reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents, and completing billing adjustments in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Conduct patient account research to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Review EOB documents to ensure accurate billing information.
  • Complete billing adjustments in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, coworkers, and external parties.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Management preferred.
  • 2 years of customer service and/or billing and collecting experience from health insurance carriers or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including active listening, attentiveness, courteous tone, and ability to interpret and respond effectively during conversations.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, helpfulness, and receptiveness to patients, coworkers, and external parties.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
