Recreation Advisor Job Description

Delaware Valley Job Corps is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Advisor to join our team. As a Recreation Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive evening and weekend programs for our students. Your primary goal will be to promote health and wellness, education, and training through recreation and leisure activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Recreation/Evening/Weekend Programs team to design and deliver engaging programs for students.
  • Work with Academic Instructors to develop individual tutoring and evening and weekend studies and activity plans to meet student needs.
  • Supervise and coordinate recreation and evening/weekend activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Coordinate with off-Center partners to deliver academic and recreation services, promoting a seamless experience for our students.
  • Document student participation and accountability during recreation and evening/weekend activities.
  • Ensure the overall appearance, condition, and organization of the recreation and evening/weekend department facilities.
  • Provide transportation as required and ensure the safety of students during activities.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree required or one-year related experience working with youth.
  • Valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements.
  • CDL preferred.
