Job Title: Youth Development Specialist
Job Summary:
The Boys and Girls Club of Gordon, Murray, and Whitfield Counties, Inc. is seeking a Youth Development Specialist to provide direct instruction and supervision for children enrolled in the club.
Responsibilities:
- Plans and implements daily and weekly activities for a group of club members.
- Assists Unit director in daily operation of the program site
- Assists in maintaining daily attendance reports and other clerical tasks.
- Assists in distribution and maintenance of equipment
- Assists in parent drop off and pick up of members
- Assumes responsibilities as assigned by the Unit Director
- Enrichment activities will be included
- May be required to drive a Club van periodically
- May consult with parents concerning a member and branch issues
- Must attend all mandatory staff meetings and trainings
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to read and write effectively
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions:
The Youth Development Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of initiative and good judgment. The position requires the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with children, parents, staff, teachers, principals, site directors, and program director.
