The Healthcare Support Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for patient interactions. This role encompasses both administrative responsibilities and direct patient support. The Specialist engages in a variety of tasks and moderately complex operational/customer support activities. Responsibilities include performing calculations and typically managing semi-routine tasks.
The Specialist executes clinical functions such as discussing patient symptoms, collecting and entering data into the electronic health records system, measuring vital signs, administering injections, conducting diagnostic assessments, gathering specimens, drawing blood, sanitizing and maintaining medical equipment, and ensuring examination rooms are ready for patient visits.
Operates within established guidelines to clarify work expectations and quality benchmarks, while having some flexibility in prioritizing tasks and working with minimal supervision.
Adheres to standard operating procedures that allow for some interpretation and independent judgment.Utilize your expertise to create a positive impact
Essential Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in direct patient care settings
less than 2 years of leadership experience
Must demonstrate teamwork and possess strong communication abilities
Experience in a dynamic, high-volume environment
Proficient in MS Outlook
Basic computer skills
Must be committed to enhancing consumer experiences within the organization
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Bilingual capabilities
Hands-on Phlebotomy experience
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records
Experience with HEDIS
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
Additional Information
This position involves direct patient interaction and is part of a health screening initiative. If selected, candidates will undergo necessary health screenings.

The salary range provided reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment.
Compensation may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications.
