Job Title: Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at NHOMS PLLC. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our oral surgeons and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist chairside during various dental surgical procedures, providing exceptional support to our oral surgeons.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and instruments to maintain optimal hygiene standards, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA, to guarantee a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
  • Capture high-quality radiographic images and maintain accurate patient records, providing comprehensive care instructions to patients.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their experience.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and reliable transportation are essential.
  • Demonstrated motivation to learn and a genuine passion for healthcare, with a commitment to direct patient care.
  • Previous experience in dental or oral surgery is preferred, showcasing a solid foundation in dental assisting.
  • Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus, demonstrating adaptability to dental practice management tools.
  • Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in email and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support clinic operations.
  • Strong follow-through, effective communication, and reliability are paramount for success in this role.
Qualifications:
  • CPR certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
  • Radiology certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, ensuring proficiency in capturing diagnostic images.
  • Massachusetts Dental Assistant License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, meeting state regulatory requirements.
  • DAANCE certification is preferred, or the ability to achieve it within 1 year of hire, indicating a commitment to professional development in dental anesthesia and sedation.
