Fire Sprinkler Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team at Integrated Fire & Safety. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems to ensure they function effectively and meet safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire suppression systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions, performing necessary repairs and replacements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, educating clients on system operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, service work, and repairs performed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, safety regulations, and new technologies.
  • Maintain personal industry license(s).
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in fire protection preferred.
  • Proven experience as a fire sprinkler technician or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, codes, and regulations (NFPA standards).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET certification) are a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
