Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at VocoVision. As a Virtual Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with students in Washington, providing comprehensive speech and language assessments, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and delivering individual and group therapy sessions through a virtual platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments using virtual tools to identify students' communication strengths and challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide individual and group speech-language therapy sessions through a virtual platform, focusing on improving students' communication, language, and social skills.
  • Track and document student progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including teachers, special education staff, and administrators, to support students' academic and social success.
  • Provide guidance and support to parents and teachers on strategies to reinforce communication skills at home and in the classroom.
  • Ensure all services are delivered in compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Washington state laws.
  • Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and virtual therapy delivery through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current Washington state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred. Experience with teletherapy or virtual service delivery is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using virtual platforms for therapy delivery, including secure video conferencing tools, assessment software, and electronic documentation systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff in a remote environment.
  • Ability to manage a caseload, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed and accurate records.
