About the Role
\The Hospice Chaplain is responsible for providing spiritual care services to patients and families/caregivers of Spring Valley Hospice. This role requires a compassionate individual who can provide emotional and spiritual support to those in need.
\Responsibilities

- Assure spiritual assessment of patients and families/caregivers in a timely manner\
- Facilitate the development of individualized plans of care by participating in comprehensive assessments\
- Provide direct spiritual care to patients and families/caregivers\
- Serve as liaison and support to community chaplains and spiritual counselors\
- Maintain records of spiritual care services utilization and related activities\
- Document direct services and ongoing communication with community chaplains and spiritual counselors\
- Attend patient care conferences and interdisciplinary group meetings\
- Provide consultation, education, and support to the interdisciplinary group on spiritual care\
- Recruit community chaplains, spiritual counselors, and volunteers to meet patient needs\
- Plan memorial services for patients as requested\
- Assist in supervision of spiritual care volunteers when assigned to patients/families/caregivers\
- Participate in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities\\
- Accept and perform other related duties as required\\
- Preferred location: Conway, AR\\
- Estimated salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year\\
- Bachelor's degree in theology or chaplaincy program preferred\\
- Experience working with death and dying, individuals/family/caregiver\\
- Ability to work as member of interdisciplinary group\\
- Comfort in interfaith setting\\
- Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values\\
- Ability to network with community clergy and congregations\\
- Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care\\
- Hospice experience preferred\\
