Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to professional nursing standards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Utilize Health First computer systems for order entry, order inquiry, and patient care documentation.
- Document all nursing care, changes in condition, response to therapy, treatments, procedures, and referrals on patient records.
- Contribute to the patient experience by providing education, promoting patient satisfaction, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
- Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
- Minimum of 1 year emergency department experience in an acute care facility.
- Ability to speak and understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
- Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks.
- Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
- Must have ability to work in often stressful environments with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding.
- Must have ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities.
- Must have ability to respond appropriately to life-threatening situations.
