Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, increasing access, and improving outcomes for our nation's Veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a wide range of health care services, including diagnosis and management of acute, chronic, and complex health problems
  • Perform physical examinations, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, and order laboratory studies, radiographs, electrocardiograms, and other special examinations
  • Make arrangements for further care if appropriate and serve as a consultant to other providers
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of staff, including trainees and a multidisciplinary staff in a fast-paced educational and collegial environment
  • Develop and implement evidence-based nursing protocols and organize educational activities targeted toward staff training and development
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or related field
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in a dynamic situation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
