Job Summary

The Vice President of Finance and Strategy will oversee financial services, auxiliary support, and strategic initiatives for Lone Star College Kingwood. This position will serve as a Financial and Administrative Officer and the Chief Ethics Officer for LSC-Kingwood and its centers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the financial planning and budgeting process for the campus, ensuring alignment with LSC policies and guidelines.
  2. Direct campus leadership in fiscal accountability, including financial transactions, record keeping, and report preparation.
  3. Advise the campus President and Sr. Associate Vice Chancellor on strategic initiatives and planning, and assist in policy development.
  4. Oversee the implementation and execution of campus culture, mission, and vision, guided by the Chancellor's Goals and LSC Focus.
  5. Manage the Business Office, including student accounts, cashiering, third-party billing, collections, cash management, and customer service.
  6. Directly responsible for auxiliary services, including bookstore, food and cafe services, lockers, and campus retail stores.
  7. Develop and implement unified protocols across the system to enhance efficiency and operational functionality.
  8. Ensure compliance with internal and external rules, regulations, guidelines, and contractual requirements.
  9. Serve as liaison between system office and various departments and LSC leadership, and participate in project teams as needed.
  10. Create and maintain positive community interaction and partnerships, both internal and external.
  11. Serve as Chief Ethics Officer for the campus and its centers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree and at least 10 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience must include at least 5 years in a management-level position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in higher education and corporate organizations.
  • Experience in finance leadership.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
