Job Summary

The Vice President of Finance and Strategy will oversee financial services, auxiliary support, and strategic initiatives for Lone Star College Kingwood. This role will serve as a Financial and Administrative Officer and Chief Ethics Officer for the campus and its centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets, revenue projections, and financial reports for the campus.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial transactions, record-keeping, and financial document control.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with the campus President and Sr. Associate Vice Chancellor to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Campus Culture and Mission: Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability, aligned with the Chancellor's Goals and LSC Focus.
  • Auxiliary Services: Manage bookstore, food and café services, lockers, and campus retail stores, ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Project Management: Develop and implement unified protocols across the system, enhancing efficiency and operational functionality.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with internal and external rules, regulations, and contractual requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree and at least 10 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in finance leadership and project management.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with System faculty and staff and the general public.
