Job Overview

As a Field Service Technician at Coats, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' tire and wheel service equipment. Your expertise will be essential in providing top-notch support and training to our customers, helping them to maximize the performance and efficiency of their equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain Coats' tire and wheel service equipment at customer locations.
  • Provide comprehensive training and support to customers on the proper use and maintenance of our equipment.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and installations, ensuring seamless integration with customers' existing systems.
  • Manage inventory and perform cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Process invoices and collect payments from customers, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Interact with customers, shop managers, and other industry professionals to provide exceptional service and support.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of mechanical/electrical installation, repair, and/or assembly experience, or relevant work experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics, including the ability to read schematics and use testing devices proficiently.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of providing outstanding service and support.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to satisfy customer needs on a timely basis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, including verbal and written communication.
  • Comfortable with computer and mobile device usage, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50lbs, with a clean driving record and valid state driver's license.
